Juggalo Family Rant (3 of 3)

One last thing. You rookie juggalos aren't exactly off the hook. Just know that ninjas who front like they know everything are douche bags. Ninjas who incessantly brag about shit are douche bags. Ninjas who don't act right and pass the buck in the name of juggalos are douche bags. Juggalo family is not a get out of jail free card for douche-baggery. Most of us don't care what other people think of us, but if you don't care what a veteran juggalo thinks of you, just make sure you're not full of shit. Try not to let your ego prevent you from learning something from somebody who's been around longer than you. You might actually find yourself accepted by the older generation if you show a little respect. No matter what, just do you, cuz its hard to restore your credibility once you're lost it.

Dropping the hatchet because you don’t like how other juggalos act means that you care more about your image than your connection to the music. That's lame.

Maybe that's the problem. There is an established "family" to speak of now, and people see that and are attracted to the family environment/scene before they even know what it is about the music that inspired the scene to begin with.

There's nothing wrong with a newbie buying a CD and some Hatchet Gear, but its clear that a lot of ninjas are hesitant to accept people into the family unless they've ran through the gauntlet first, when that's all they want..... to be accepted.

I use the term "veteran" to describe a juggalo who has been down with the clown for a long time. Somebody who followed ICP and the Dark Carnival before The Unveiling, or before the Milenko/Disney fiasco, or whatever.. (OG Juggalos) Don't let the terms bog down the issue. The issue is some ninjas feel like they have seniority over others and some ninjas clearly need to slow their roll. But neither side wants to be regulated.

Juggalo Family Rant (2 of 3)

Here's some more food for thought: A long time ago in a galaxy far away, ICP threw a dart on a map. It landed on Dallas. They brought their promo van to the high schools. Yes, high schools, y'all. Just because a lot of us are grown up now doesn't mean the music won't be appealing to kids anymore. Older ninjas who feel that things aren't the same as they were 15 years ago need to lighten up on the next gen. a little bit. Maybe you're just upset that you're not a kid any more. ICP's music changes n evolves constantly. So does the scene. Some of us are growing with the artists, but some of you are living in the past. If we can't just get along, can you at least shut the fuck up about how everybody else is ruining everything for you? Let it go cuz there ain't shit you can do. Keep ridin’ and enjoying the view.

I was a teenager when I heard ICP for the first time. I was drawn in by the violent lyrics and sick sense of humor. But I never thought that the violence was a way to be. It was always something I could relate to emotionally. If the messages need to be explained to you than you probably aren't ready to hear it.

Just being young has never been the issue, its how older ninjas don’t gel with the young ones. Its about how we either accept or reject our differences. Its about letting ninjas figure shit out on their own terms and not accosting them before they have it all figured out.

Juggalo Family Rant (1 of 3)

If you're a juggalo who hates certain other juggalos, that doesn't make you any less a juggalo. But it doesn't make the ninja you hate on any less a juggalo either. There is no code or law that forces us to all like each other or act alike. ICP promotes family, but everyone is in their right to be an irritable prick or an anti-social goof. Whatever it is you imagine things or people should be like, somebody else has a different opinion. A different point of view. You can be a freak, but don't be a control freak over things that are bigger than yourself. It doesn't look good on you. Are you a part of the 3 rings or are you the one pointing and staring?

RANT: Poseurs (Real Recognizes Real)

My 2 cents:

Every person is on their journey through life. Becoming a juggalo doesn't necessarily mean a ninja's got his shit straight. If the Dark Carnival's message strikes a chord and the music sounds good to you and you're entertained by the live performance, chances are you're gonna wanna be a juggalo. But being a good person doesn't happen over night. Everybody needs to live life and learn from mistakes. Scumbag scrubs and show-boaters who rep the Hatchet are no less juggalo just because they act wack.

Additional FBook comments...

Real recognizes real. Kind of cliche, but true. ICP will never tell the juggalo nation that they need to believe this or that they need to do that in order to "be a juggalo". The juggalo nation will always have newbies in the mix, over-excited about shit, over-eager to earn their stripes (be recognized for being down), and overkillin’ with enthusiasms and/or intolerances at times. We're just people.

Here's another cliche: Monkey see, monkey do. Try not to be a control freak about the juggalo family/nation. We will never "all" be on the same page. Sometimes a fake ninja is just a lost soul. But that individual might still cherish the music and support the hatchet. Even if he/she is retarded or can't act right. Nobody likes to be taken down a peg, told what to believe, or how to act. If a ninja doesn't wanna learn nothing, they are'nt going to anyway. ICP's music has always been the source of my juggalo "education": the wicked stories, the moral lessons, the ass and pussy jokes, etc. Who really needs other ninjas to explain how to be a juggalo to them? ICP doesn't explain it. They let it be. Can't you monkeys see that??

Treat others how you wanna be treated. If you're Holier than thou and think you have the right to tell others how to be, than go for it. You won't make a lot of friends that way. But real recognizes real. If someone is "getting all mad and calling people fake" out of anger or frustration, then they have showed their true colors. Newbies aren't the only ones who do this. Plenty of old-schoolers are quick to label others "fake" for not being completely “in the know”.

Don't let someone calling you a fake bother you anymore than someone making fun of you for being a juggalo in the first place. Its easier said than done, but try not to give a fuck. It frees up so much energy and makes life so much more enjoyable. For example: You could call me a racist and I know it isn't true. Why would I bother trying to argue with anyone about my realness? What’s the point? Haters are gonna hate. Fakes are usually the ones hollering "fake" and its because they aren't comfortable with themselves. If they were, they wouldn't care if you were fake or not. Get it?

...I'm saying we can't control each other's actions. And we shouldn't let other's opinions or accusations get to us. You can act how you want. You can fight fakes to the death if you want. You're choice. I'm only suggesting ninjas rise above the drama and let the fakes be fake and not take it personal.
I never said there will not be drama. I'm saying there will always be drama and we don't have to like it. I'm putting ideas out there that there are other ways to deal with the fakes in our midst other than bitching and complaining about it. This post and this thread was never directed at any one person. Its my rant on current events in the juggalo nation. The only opinion I'm trying to make is that life is easier when you don't get hung up on other ninjas' actions.

There's a lot to ingest now-a-days. It can't be easy for new juggalos. A lot of pressure to not look stupid. A lot of criticism thrown around for acting wrong. Old school juggalos can get overwhelmed with the increasing number of newbies. Its come to a point where newbies are influencing other newbies. If you're not new and you don't like the way things are, you can try to educate, but remember that nobody wants to be governed or controlled. If someone doesn't wanna be taught, than don't waste your time with them.

We sometimes forget that ICP has built a party environment at their shows. It's entertainment with extra deep meaning. But its still just entertainment. Ninjas don't wanna feel like they're at school when its wicked shit that brought them to the party. Remember we will not all be on the same page. Respect the learning curve and try to enjoy yourselves. Fuck being a hall monitor when the students are running amuck. Just be a senior, junior, sophomore, or freshman juggalo and let the rest of the kids have their fun. Anyone can enroll. Graduation is not required. Special needs ninjas are just as juggalo as the high honors ninjas. Nobody is getting paid to teach. Let ICP school it. LMAO

RANT: “Judgalos” (Judging Juggalos)

My 2 cents:

Judging in general is unavoidable. What gets a little annoying is when ninjas fixate and obsess on the things that they're judging. Incessantly bitching about haters or fakes. Cramming their preferred tastes down peoples' throats. Whining about what's going wrong around them. At times it's difficult to coexist with excessively outspoken Judgalos LMAO

Additional FBook comments...

...I'm tired of keeping quiet about how I feel. I've been a juggalo for over a decade. For more than half my life. And I’ve only had this FBook account for 5 months now. I made it to share pics and videos and to stay involved in the juggalo nation. Trust me, for every video I comment on, there is at least 3 that i don't waste my time on. There's a lot of insistent ninjas out there talking lots of shit and saying nothing at all. SMH

I've spent many Eras keeping quiet and going with the flow, but since ICP is giving us a whole 2nd deck of Joker Cards, I decided to speak up. Too many old school juggalos mouse up about their positive experiences or do nothing but bitch about the newer generation of ninjas. Pinning ‘em all as ignorant pricks. As if they were never new or were always righteous and all-knowing. Everybody pisses everybody else off. People skills and common courtesy hardly exist in juggalo debates. It always resorts to name calling and ego posturing.

...Trust me, in person, i don't partake in any bullshit feuds. I have fun at shows. And I have fun in life. But online ninjas are getting out of hand with the hear-say, finger pointing and immature gripes. Call me crazy but I think the juggalo nation needs more logical arguments. I'm not afraid to tell it how I see it anymore. Especially over the internet, where everybody can read me and feel me or get bent and rite me off. Makes no difference to me. I'm down for life and the beauty of this social network is that its built to do exactly what I'm doing. I hope I piss off and scare away the weak and fickle fair-weather scenesters. And some ninjas just enjoy watching me tear into fools and maybe simultaneously get a lil "juggalogical education" them selves. LMAO

RANT: Entertainment Vs. Religion (Part 3)

My 2 cents:

Wiccan juggalos, Atheist juggalos, Christian juggalos all exist. ICP has never said "follow God" just that they hope we find Him. They've said fuck the Devil. But they've never advocated the belief in Jesus. ICP keeps it wicked n reach a lot of ninjas who've been fucked with so much in life that they've been unreachable by other positive messages. The dark side or wicked shit is what propels their positive message. Roll playing the evils of men n also fantasizing vigilante murders. Its entertainment!

I enjoy watching these juggalo vlog videos. I think the discussions are a great way to get misconceptions sorted out, squash rumors, expose the wackness and spread the clown love. But sometimes even the downest ninjas seem to have shit twisted. Some things are open to interpretation, some things are spelled out for us clear as day. The mystery and discovery is half the fun.

But it is just entertainment! Well thought out, extremely calculated, explicit, substance-filled entertainment. Enjoy your life without hurting others. Get ya wicked on and express yourself freely. Don't get hung up on any one thing J and Shaggs say or do, because as soon as you pigeon-hole them, they're on to some other shit. Definitely don't be putting words in their mouth. Make ya look stupid.

My 2 cents:

In the new Village Voice article J says they are all about their music - a lot of gimmicks and a lot of show. Their messages are spread across their products - Their products are decorated with mystical imagery. They do not dabble in satanism, they role play the evils of humankind, they tell stories of murder and mayhem, act out in violence under the persona of vigilante super hero scrubby clowns. Their songs can be reminiscent of pop culture, their imagery is reminiscent of occult. (entertainment)

My 2 cents:

Its not that hard to understand. Most haters are not going to take the time to try. The biggest agitators are not even interested in hearing the truth anyways. They're either trolls who just wanna rile ninjas up, or bullies insecure with there own beliefs and just knitpickin on an easy target. And you know damn well lots of juggalos are down with the dark carnival's interpretation of heaven/hell and god/witch. The joker cards have transparent themes. The lotus cross is a familiar symbol. Its genius!
